To make a steep mountain slope into a flat ground, stone embankments with a height of about 4m were built to the east and north to make a Buddhist altar, and on top of the altar, Four Directional Buddha statues were enshrined, with Buddha Triad statues carved on the back folding screen rock about 1.74 meters away from the altar. The Buddha Triad statue features a central statue of Sakyamuni Buddha with two attendant Bodhisattva statues on the left and right. The Sakyamuni Buddha sitting on a splendid lotus flower reveals the power of a compassionate Buddha through a voluminous face full of gentle smile and a dignified posture. The clothes worn only on the left shoulder are closely attached to the body, realistically expressing the curvature. The right hand is placed on the knee with the fingertips pointing towards the ground, while the left hand is placed on the stomach.
The two attendant Bodhisattva statues on the left and right side are of equal size and are wearing soft clothes that wrap around their bodies. All Buddha Triad statues have a dignified physique and excellent carving techniques. The Four Directional Buddha statues carved on the four sides of the other rock are also seated on lotus flowers with different hand gestures depending on the direction. It is presumed that the Buddha statues were originally placed in a designated space, and there are still roof tiles and other architectural fragments found nearby that suggest the original structure. Based on the carving technique and stylistic characteristics, it is believed that these seven Buddhas were made in the 8th century during the Unified Silla Dynasty.
